    Pork Butt Question

Well JR, unlike some others here I do boneless pork butts (or DID...I let my Costco membership expire). It's just the wife and me, but we did just fine coming up with meals for all the leftovers. Carnitas tacos, pork burritos, green pork chili and using shredded pork and cream cheese as stuffing...

    No Charcoal At HD?

Phil, our local HD had one pallet of KBB twin packs when I picked up my supply. We are in a small town (pop @ 12,000 now) so I wasn't expecting much on hand, but was pleasantly surprised when I was able to get all I wanted...bought 4 twin packs. I hope you were able to get stocked up at Lowe's!

    Oh No!!!!!!!!!!!

Bob, you have been an inspiration to me and MANY others here! In your honor, I took out 2 pork steaks today to thaw out and will grill them this weekend! :blackkettle: :D Thanks to you and Chris A for helping me "chase the carrot"...always trying to achieve what you make look so effortless! Ruined a nice rack of Ribs this last weekend

I'm with Matt on this. Mesquite does add great flavor to hamburgers and beef steaks! Anything low and slow tends to get overpowered by mesquite.

Pin yourself on the Smoke Day Map

Maybe someone with an RV would be willing to cruise over to Wyoming to do a little smoke and add that unrepresented state to the Smoke Day 2015 map! It's OK if you don't live there, isn't it Chris?!?

    Lighting process

Late to the party as usual for me, but I use 1 Weber starter cube regardless of how full of charcoal the chimney is...and yes, I use KBB. I didn't like the ash from paper, and I'm too frugal to use 2 cubes...plus, waiting to dump the hot coals gives me time to have another beer

This is nasty don't look. Probably doesn't belong in photo gallery

OK Tony, let me be the first to forgive you for your indiscretion. Living in SoCal, you obviously aren't used to a wet environment. Had you been living in the Pacific Northwet...well, that's another story. As Great White sang - "Once Bitten, Twice Shy". I know you won't let this happen again...
