    Men who can't grill?

I don't feel sorry for those folks. To own a device specifically made to cook food, and to not know how to use it, or take the time to find out...sad isn't quite the word I'm looking for. Cooking at a gas grill is like dragging your range out on the back porch. I can understand some bit of a...

    Men who can't grill?

I made a batch of pulled pork and Keri's hog apple baked beans for a family gathering last weekend. My sis in law was in awe and asked me how I got to be so good at making Q. My response was, "well, I read the recipe and followed the instructions". It certainly isn't rocket science but it...

    stok grill

Even if it's as good as a Weber...why not just...get a Weber? It'd have to do some pretty snazzy things my current rig doesn't. What would the draw be to this for a first time grill buyer? Cheaper? If it's cheaper, WHY is it cheaper? Why not just go with a Weber? :-p LOL

    Men who can't grill?

I'm not sure I would be that harsh. I enjoy cooking in general and grilling/smoking in particular. I hardly expect everyone to enjoy the same things that I like. (If everyone was as enthusiastic as us about Weber grills, think what that would do to the prices on CL!) OTOH, there are things that...

    Men who can't grill?

That is a fact. And like everything else that isn't hard, that people seemingly refuse to do...it generally boils down to shear and utter laziness. Nothing short. I guess grilling puts a real cramp in one's text messaging routine.

    What's your favorite coffee maker?

Excellent post. As for the varieties of coffees, I really strongly suggest people get the insert/basket for the Keurig that allows you to use your own coffee and teas. Then you can drink all your favorites instead of being restricted to the flavors they put in the capsules/pods. Just make...

    What's your favorite coffee maker?

I go three ways. I use the french press mostly. It's quick, easy, and makes a cup of coffee that's very repeatable. However, I do have a couple "gadget" type makers that I equally love. I have one of the Keurig's (can't remember which model), which an outstanding single cup coffee machine...

Grilled Pork Chops with Lawrys havana garlic and lime marinade

Welcome to the board Janet. Glad your pork chops worked out. I love a good 2" ham wallet. That's perfect stuffin' size. Awesome to see so many ladies joining the board. Women that grill, rule.

    Brisket recipe

I'm a little confused, as the initial post does not express when Stage 4 commences. How far into the cook before removing the brisket, foiling, and adding the remaining liquid? I'm thinking of forgoing this stage, only because the last time I foiled, it really hampered the development of bark...

    Brisket recipe

Giving this a whirl today on a 10 lb. Wagyu briskie. I had everything but the onion salt. Grocery store didn't have it. They had onion POWDER, but I didn't want to risk using it as a substitute. Marinated it over night, and put it on the grill at roughly 5 this morning. Can't wait.

    Wagyu Brisket

She's goin'. Trying my best to keep it between 210 and 225...But I have it parked at 230, and that's good enough for me. Long day ahead. Supposed to be 93F today. Yuck.

    Wagyu Brisket

Well, it's a beautiful morning, albeit 4:15 AM...LOL I got the brisket marinated and patted dry. I've slathered it in yellow mustard and applied the rub. I'm just bringing it to room temp, and I'll get it on the kettle. Goes on in about an hour. Should be done by late afternoon, early...

    Wagyu Brisket

This is a go. I have the brisket marinating for 8 hours. Gonna flip it over in about an hour and a half. Should go on about 5:30 tomorrow morning. I'm using Chris G's recipe. Can't wait for tomorrow evening.

    Maverick ET-732 question

Ok. I got it. A little goofy, but I can handle it. I was under the interpretation I would have to hit the button for each degree of change. LOL I was going nuts.

    Maverick ET-732 question

Negative to holding down the button. I know it seems nitpicky, but what an absolutely horrendous omission. There is no reason to have to press a button HUNDREDS OF TIMES to go back 5 degrees.

    Maverick ET-732 question

I recently picked up two of these for a big project I have coming up over the 4th of July weekend. I've already used the device, and it's freakin' brilliant. I absolutely love it. However, I need to ask ONE question. When adjusting the temperature, pressing the button moves the number up...
