    BBQ/Grilling Cookbooks

I just got this book a couple of weeks ago. My wife saw someone a box of free stuff on the side of road. In the box, there was this book plus two gardening knee pads. Took them home for me. Good wife!

Son wants to replace the wood on his redhead with Durawood

I know it's an old thread but does anyone have new thoughts/opinions for replacing the durawood slats other than recycling from donor grills? I'm wondering about using cedar with marine spar varnish or trex material. Ideally to find a source where I don't have to do as much...

Hooking up Weber 1000 to house propane

I think my friend’s propane supplier is the one who did the hookups for his grill. Anyway, thanks for the info. I also found the other thread that someone mentioned which has a lot of good info. I do agree that the connections don’t look as professional like my hookups which was done by a plumber

Hooking up Weber 1000 to house propane

Ok, he just sent me a picture of the connection to his existing grill. I’ll ask where the regulator is. It is probably at the tank since I don’t see it in the picture.

Hooking up Weber 1000 to house propane

I'm trying to help a friend hook up his new Weber 1000 LP grill to his house propane. I have NG on my grills where you have a hose that screws onto the manifold and the other end is a quick connect that goes to the house supply. Do people with house propane do the same thing or is it done...

    Outdoor Table/Cabinet recommendations?

Anyone have a recommendation for an outdoor table/cabinet? I'm interested in this one from Keter that has a stainless top and some sort of resin for the rest of the body. It has water proof storage area below the top. It's about $200 now but the price fluctuates...

    Cord Cutters - - - -

It does take a bit getting used to it but I find the service to be great. I share it with 2 other people so we each pay $17/month for our own stream. You get 6 accounts and 3 streams. Things I like about the service: Automatically extends recordings for shows that run longer than expected...

Kosmos does pork butt on Kettle

The pork butt came out pretty good. I didn't really save time as it took 8 hours to cook butterflied style. Had lots more bark to eat which is the best part. Would do it this way again.

    First Genesis 1000 restoration

That grill is a work of art. Needs to be preserved in a museum so one can just look at it. I like the furniture pads you used for the assembly process. Need to get myself some. My first Weber I bought in 1999 is a 1300LX, hunter green. It's currently in parts waiting for me to find time to...

Kosmos does pork butt on Kettle

I have a pork butt on the smoker today. Doing it Cosmo style where it's butterflied. I like the idea of having more bark and cooking it quicker. Anyone who don't like the technique?

    Kokoretsi

Happy Easter! Kokoretsi is awesome! Have had it a bunch of times at Greek Easter celebrations. Spanakopita with homemade phyllo dough is another favorite.

    Coronavirus - Covid 19

This is pretty easy to do. I've been doing it for a couple of years. I keep mine in the fridge and feed it every 2 weeks. When I want to make some bread, I bring it out a day or two before and start feeding it again before using it. I also don't throw away excess starter. Just use it to make...

    Coronavirus - Covid 19

I guess you have not been following the situation in Italy and Iran. The big danger is overwhelming the medical system such that we don’t have enough beds to take care of people that need it and not enough medical workers because they are sick, overworked and tired. There are hospitals in Italy...

    Cord Cutters - - - -

Not all Comcast areas have caps. I don’t have one. Probably because I can easily switch to Verizon FIOS. https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/data-usage-find-area I have been cutting the cord for a few years and it’s great. Netflix, YouTube TV, and Amazon are my viewing options. Pay around...

I will just leave this here

I think the guy has the wrong model number. There is a Spirit 310 but this looks like a 1300.

    Weber once, Weber forever

Welcome to the forums! There are a bunch of us here in the Boston area. Myself, I got started with the Weber 1000 gas grill in 1999 and came upon this site for info to repair it. Since then, I've picked up another 1000, a Smokey Mountain, and a Kettle grill, all free on Freecycle/Facebook...
