    Keter food prep cart

Well here is one of many setup. Most the others are in the shed due to winter rain. This is my summit charcoal setup since it’s my primary cooker. Two Keter prep tables with the grittle on one, summit, popcorn machine and of course big screen with nascar on 😜

    Butcher Paper

Dustin this is good to know on keeping the fat side up I’ll have to remember that next time. As for wrapping I have been “double wrapping” like I would with foil. What say you? Double or single wrap with paper?

What are your favorite or recommended wsm modifications?

I did a lot of the above mods mentioned and found that the only one that has been the most useful was the slot mod for probe wires. Hinge is expensive and the handles weren’t that useful except for keeping me from using the stock cover. With that said though for me one that hasn’t been...

    SPG Barbecue

Salt pepper and garlic is the main dry rub I use on beef ribs. Never tried on pork ribs, guess I’ll need to try this now...

    Butcher Paper

this is what I use with good results. It was a gift but I believe it came off Amazon. Over the last 9 months or so I have been seriously comparing the difference between wrapping in Paper vs Foil. For me I have found that I prefer almost everything wrapped in paper. With that said I should...

    Help Identifying a SS Performer

Sounds good. Love to see this lid and handle at your house. Let’s figure out how to get it into your hands. Before COVID I used to make quite a few trips to Davis and Occasionally Berkeley, but with the campuses being shut down that doesn’t seem to be the case at all these days. If anything I...

    Kettle as an oven?

I’ve used to use my 26” kettle a bunch as an oven to keep the house from getting too hot in the summer. I found the sweet spot for the 26” kettle was to off set coals on one side using fire bricks and then setting what ever I was cooking in covered pan on the charcoal grate beside beside the...

    Help Identifying a SS Performer

That is awesome. I might even have a handle in my parts shed. Edit..., I have a handle still in the packaging... so I guess just a therm short on a matching set. Lid is an AD model so makes it a 2010. Lid is in great shape. If your interested I am sure we can figure out a way to get it to you...

    Help Identifying a SS Performer

Well it’s not blue but I have an extra hunter green performer lid that is taking up space. It came with my performer that I bought off CL years ago. If your interested in a miss match green and blue SS performer I would be happy to donate the lid. Needs a handle and therm. I am in the Grass...

    Keter food prep cart

I’ve never had it leak. It does sit out uncover but it is kind under the eve. The doors are pretty tight and there are not any real exposed seams.

    Couldn't Pass On This 26er

Yes that is the standard place for the thermometer on the 26. At least that is where mine is located. It’s a nice location since the vent is up front for indirect cooks banking coals at the back, therm where you can see it lid vent up front.

    Keter food prep cart

Hey Folks wanted to show off a new Keter patio prep table. This is actually an additional to the first one I bought about 5 years ago. These are well built and available at Sams for 150 bucks. If your looking for a table with storage to use beside a kettle or WSM I would highly recommend. Super...

    Weekend Haul - 18” WSM & Weber #2726 NIB

Nice find. I got a NIB a few years ago but it was not in as good as shape as yours. By the way I found if you use a 22” kettle charcoal grate the fire pit works a lot more efficiently. Oh and the 26” cooking grate fits perfectly on top if you are into that kind of cooking...

For those of you who live near a Raley's...

That’s pretty funny. We still got a few left in the state. Here is a rural northern Ca traffic jam. Mark is right they are happy, and curious. Here is an older picture of my daughter attempting to pet one. Picture is about 25 foot from the back patio where I BBQ...wonder if they wonder what...

Anyone have the Summit Kamado S6 Yet?

Hi Grant. Just my opinion but if you have the opportunity to get a Gen 1 you may want to go that route. Might be a little more expensive but I have heard that There are a few quality issues with the Gen 2s likely to get the price down. I also know a few items that may or may not be important to...

Weber Summit Charcoal Snapjet Air Leak

Hi Grant I have had mine for about 8 months now and have probably 100 cooks on it and have never had any issues with the snap jet starter leaking. I typically use it to start my charcoal. Not that it is related to your question but is a much better starter then the ones used on the performers.

Summit Charcoal Used Talk me out of it........

I think you could get 200-250 for the performer. On the high end you may have to wait a bit but 250 for the metal table version is not too high IMO. For the WSM depends on the size. Around here I see the 18 between 150 and 200. The 22 200-300. when I bought my quite a few years ago I bought...
