    Foil wrap your Flavorizer bars?

You'll eat through the aluminum in one cook.

    What’s It?

I have one of those grid lifters made by Napoleon. Funny thing about them is that they get poor reviews because they don't come with instructions and they marketing photos shows someone using it incorrectly. Oh well, I paid $4 for mine and it works well.

    Genesis E-310 too hot...

I assumed the valves and orifices weren't likely the cause because the OP said the issue happened suddenly and the he didn't indicate the flames were uneven between the burners. Since the regulator was replaced, and the problem persisted, I think a photo of the flames with valves on low would...

I think that might be true. The aluminum end caps have the same strange gray color seen on the porcelain lid.

    Genesis E-310 too hot...

Heating power is controlled by gas pressure and orifice size. If the flames on all burners look similar, I would guess your gas pressure is too high. Try swapping in a new gas regulator. BTW, is it a natural gas or propane bbq grill?

    Dual Tanks?!

Y Yea, you can see in one of the photos the tank connection isn't hooked up to anything.

The Crown does have a cast aluminum fire box. The burner is their BK infinity burner, which is just a variation of an H burner. Note the one in the ad also has a rear rotisserie burner. If I were to pick up a free BK, I think one of these would be interesting to play with. The base is...

That's true of the Baron line, but the 2021 models were redesigned and they now have aluminum fire boxes. BTW, I think the worst aspect of BK are their cast iron grates. They are thin porcelain coated, and flake the moment you start cooking on them. Their stainless grates are well made though.

Those are really common in Canada as it's a Canadian brand, and they're priced considerably cheaper than comparable weber products. They cook well and last a long time if maintained, but cosmetic parts fall apart if you leave them in the rain. These BK aluminum grills are basically modern...

Not doubting that it can sear. I'm more curious what it would do to all the grease dripping from a well marbled ribeye. Would it start a grease fire or would you get 2' high flames the entire duration? On my non-weber gas grill that gets crazy hot, my eyebrows have had a few close calls...

I'd like to see a video of that thing searing a fatty ribeye. :)

Weber Genesis 310 (2008) - Manifold Rusted. Options?

So the two angled parts holding the manifold to fire box is rusted out? Cut that section off and replace it with a new angled piece of steel. If you can't weld, bolting the piece together will be fine.

    Well My ThermoPro Failed Me

I have two instant read thermometers in the kitchen. One is a backup for when someone forgets to clean the main one and I want to take a measurement right away.

Liquid Bar Keepers friend on Stainless Steel......its the answer!

I have both. I wouldn't say one is better than the other. They're both good for different tasks and there seems to be many uses for this stuff. It's also cheap to buy, so i had no issues buying one of each to try. I use the liquid stuff to remove water spots from auto glass.

Weber Q - fuel shutting off with small tanks, differences in regulators?

The straight one looks more like a standard bbq regulator. If the valve and input fitting can be unscrewed, there's a chance the parts will into a regular 11"wc bbq regulator.
