    BroilMaster P3 Restore

Depends what you want to use the grates for. I wanted to use the grates to hold and burn my smoke pouches, so I'm technically using the grates while running the rotisserie.

    Is Thermoworks Feeling the Heat?

That boot looks silly. If the mk4 is already a durable premium product, you shouldn't need a protective boot. And it's even more rediculous to buy the boot just for the magnet and a string for hanging the thermometer.

2018 Spirit II Bad Weber Fade

I think I see what you mean. You would also need polishing equipment.

2018 Spirit II Bad Weber Fade

Why is that? I doubt the faded porcelain penetrates all the way through.

    BroilMaster P3 Restore

I have a q1200 and recently ordered the onlyfire rotisserie kit for it because it would allow me to rotisserie with the grates in place and also rotisserie without a pan underneath the chicken. My BK Signet w/ rotisserie burner works well but the rear mounted burner is not great if i want to...

Lots of sources if you google it. Also look up videos on youtube of people using cerium oxide to polish out scratches on windshields

Now that the new model is out, I guess they didn't dare add the magnet and hanging hole.

2018 Spirit II Bad Weber Fade

For anyone trying to salvage a rarer faded hood, like a skyline, try polishing the faded hood using cerium oxide. It's normally used for polishing glass. I bet it can be used to take down a thin layer of porcelain.

How hot do your knobs get?

Do the test at night. I'm pretty sure the grill would not have passed safety certification if the knobs were any temperature over 140F.

    Is Thermoworks Feeling the Heat?

But if they add a magnet and a hanging hole, then it would be fair for the other manufacturers to call the new thermapen a knockoff product....just saying haha

    Is Thermoworks Feeling the Heat?

I used to work in a lab and performed IP tedting and testing to other standards. It's been about 10 years since I left the job, so I don't remember the exact clauses of the standards, but I think both will likely survive a momentary drop in a bucket of water. If I remember correctly, the more...

    Is Thermoworks Feeling the Heat?

I bought one that looks just like that but was branded Smak. It was cheap and measures fine but the build quality felt really sub-par. I regret wasting money on this. On the other hand, I have a couple Javelin Pro Duo's that cost me double the price of the cheap ones, but the build quality...

So what happens to the grease that makes it to the bottom? Does it flare up or cause grease fires? Have you tried to searing a greasy cut of meat on it?

That thing looks like a hack job. Lava rocks instead of flavorizers, cheapo grate, that side burner looks like he hijacked it from another model and operated it on top of the side table. Who knows what else is wrong with it. Heh...

The one you referenced is just a particulate filter that doesn't remove fumes. It should be replaced as soon as you feel it plugging up. There are more factors for cartridges that also filter chemicals.

I will just leave this here

I used to do that stuff back in in the day. No one said it was bad. Even teachers in school didn't emphasize ppe. Then as you get older and learn more and more, you realize a lot of stuff we did had needless risks. And then there are the people around you that you see pass away from work...
