    The Elusive 225

And still better than most of the local bbq houses where I am. Aside from maybe the annual fair, good bbq is non-existant around here. I guess smoking is just not popular where I am. I saw the local hardware store selling the Weber Summit E6 for $999cad (approx $750usd).

    The Elusive 225

If you want easy, once it's time to wrap the meat, just finish the rest of the cook in an oven?

I will just leave this here

Lowes in Canada is clearing out the Summit Kamado E6 for 40% off right now. Great deal for people that want one.

What to expect from a used Gen2 Performer

Pretty sure it's from high heat. The pitting is only in the middle of the grate where the baskets were placed. The underside also has caked on black carbon that's about the same radius as the pitting. But I agree, it's still perfectly usable and will likely last awhile once it's seasoned. I...

Weber charcoal grill with front handle, lid hinge and side two shelves. What is the model? Anyone have one they want sell?

They're officially known as the Onetouch Platinum. There's a section of this forum dedicated to old Weber Catalogs. I know it's in the 2011 one.

    SS performer dimensions

Pretty sure it'll fit a CRV, but you'll need the rear seats folded down due to the length. The Gen 2 Performer is taller, and I was able to roll one into a 3rd gen Rav4. Just had to remove the lid.

Measuring Weber Gas Grill Parts Thickness: A move from anecdotal speculation to factual investigation

Can you elaborate why it's obvious the older design is thicker? All I see is the flanged edge of the aluminum, which doesn't actually depict the metal thickness.

What do you do with empty one pound propane tanks?

Interesting. But note the video referenced an accident in Everett, WA where a girl died while using a refilled 1lb tank. I don't think the accident was directly caused by refilling the 1lb tank. I googled the incident and the explanation was that they found the 20 lb tank was leaky, and not...

I will just leave this here

That's the problem. I'm not officially looking for one. That one looks to be in good condition, but it's not an upgrade over my Gen 2. If that was a Gen 4 with GBS grates, I'd definitely be knocking on his door. Looking at the location it's located, I know it's an industrial area without...

I will just leave this here

https://vancouver.craigslist.org/bnc/app/d/burnaby-weber-charcoal-bbq-with-propane/7576839269.html There's not too many of these around where I am. The Performer Deluxe is now $689 in stores, and charcoal isnt that popular in dense urban areas. Judging by the photo of it being in a garage...

Weber Pull Out Tray - 40968012

I wonder if Weber kettles last a long time because the high pH of charcoal ashes neutralizes the acidic grease.

Onlyfire rotisserie with the pizza window $102.75

These are currently on sale at Amazon Canada for $150-$25 coupon + a free roll of high heat BBQ gasket tape. I ordered one for $125cad (around $93usd). Apparently they were even cheaper on Cyber Monday.

2010 Genesis EP 310 proven quality.

Is this generation of Weber Genesis the last of the ones that came with 304SS burners? I just picked up a 2008 Gen2 Performer and was surprised to find the burner tube and front panel was made of non-magnetic stainless steel.

Measuring Weber Gas Grill Parts Thickness: A move from anecdotal speculation to factual investigation

I've been cleaning up my new 2008 Gen 2 Performer and I'm amazed Weber used 304SS on the burner tube, front panel, and also on the screws that hold the table and kettle to the frame. The current gen Performer Deluxe still uses a very similar design, but I can see the front panel and top screws...

What to expect from a used Gen2 Performer

Not sure yet. I intend to pickup a rotisserie ring soon, so it might be chicken. I also have a napoleon 64000 rotisserie basket that I recently picked up on sale, so maybe wings. Here are some more photos of the progress: The orginal cooking grate is in OK condition. No rust, but there is...

Help... painted inside the kettle bowl

The paint should be soft enough to scrape off with a razor blade.

Is that better than putting the baskets over the burner?

What to expect from a used Gen2 Performer

Anyone have any tips on how to refinish the weber logo? The original paint has pretty much worn off of mine.

What to expect from a used Gen2 Performer

Here's something interesting. I just tested the front SS panel and touch n go burner tube with a magnet, and the magnet didn't stick. I didn't know Weber was still using 304SS in 2008. Btw, here's a photo of the bowl after washing it out.

What to expect from a used Gen2 Performer

Has anyone tried removing the ugly ignition instruction label from the Gen 2 Performer? The old ads show the grill without the sticker, and I think it looks cleaner without it.
