    After Nearly 30 Years

Yup, I'd do the same. I'd buy the one you posted on FB and have that one as the keeper and give your SIL your old one when fixed up. The one you posted has the closed cabinet (that's not prone to rusting) and those nice side tables and side burner. I have one of those and use it as my daily driver.

Blasting the box: which tool do you use?

Good to know, I haven't tried it myself but was interested. I guess I'll just stick to the Sam's Club oven cleaner and pressure washer method as that has worked out for me.

Blasting the box: which tool do you use?

Check out this thread... https://tvwbb.com/threads/put-your-die-grinder-away.82681/ It looks like there is an easier way.

Looking to get a gas grill - any suggestions?

Both are great choices, it just depends on how much of a grilling area you need. I'm for SS as it is much easier to maintain. Any standard propane tank should do (Blue Rhino or Amerigas). If you can fill your own then even better. Not really hard to clean, just scrape off the sides of the...

    Best charcoal?

For me, I use Kingsford for quick cooks (burgers, steaks, etc...) and Weber briquettes for low n slow.

Which Weber Rotisserie model for 2004 Genesis Silver B?

Yes, I have that one and it's worth it if you can get it. I spun an 18 lb. turkey on it one Thanksgiving with no problems. I'm pretty sure it could handle more.

ThermoWorks WAND infrared forehead thermometer, pre-order $89

I have one and like it very much....so much that I bought another for my parents. We compared it with an Exergen temporal thermometer and it was pretty spot on.

What to do with all these grills......

Looks like Weberitis has struck again lol! I've never seen that grey hood before, the only ones I've seen have the red pinstripe on them.

Grabbed me a 2000-01 Genesis Gold

Nice score! I'd keep the Platinum if it were down to keeping only one but you can't go wrong with either one.

HELP this is my 1st Weber, $1000 - is this a good deal?

That is a great grill but as others have said just say no to that kind due to the rust issues in the cabinet. It may look good now but give it time and rust will start to develop in the cabinet and without reg. care it'll just rust through (the cabinet). It's a shame that Weber skimped out on...

    First Timer Genesis 1000 Rehab

Yah, not only did you catch Coronavirus you may have also caught Weberitis and Weberitis may be worse as there is no known cure as of yet and being in quarantine for a period of time because of it may not be a solution. Anyways, it looks like you got a good candidate for a rehab grill.
