    3000 not getting hot enough

Has your new grilling station have enough ventilation below the grill to let it breathe properly? Even enclosed base Weber gas grills have plenty of ventilation from below.

First ever grill, Weber Genesis Silver B, and need help restoring it!

You got a great deal for a very good grill!. Right now you only need some cleaning supplies for the enamel surfaces, a wire brush, and a couple of putty knives (one metal & one plastic). Put a tank on and crank the burners up full for about 30 minutes. Then clean the inside of the lid with...

Alfred E Newman Flavorizer Bar Award

There have been plenty of posts about flavorizer bars on the forums. When to replace, what to replace them with, how to maintain them. From the "What Me Worry" aspect unless they have holes in them not from manufacturing, do they even need replacement? We've got two 2007 Genesis grills still...

    Hands free kitchen faucet.

I had been looking at HF before the Covid. That was before the wife went even more 50's kitchen with a Dishmaster faucet. We have a RO faucet which our cats hang around by even though they have two fountains filled with RO water. HF isn't happening at our house! I have a HF soap dispenser...

    Blurry vision

Larry: If it is like the dilations the do on me looking for cataracts and more floaters from a previous bleed, tomorrow your eyes will feel like someone kicked sand in them. For everything to settle back to normal it usually takes me 2 days (the day of the dilation and high intensity light plus...

I got a set for Christmas two years ago and still have not tried them for no particular reason. Jon Tofte uses them and really likes them.

Let's have coffee! What's your favorite coffee mug?

One time I had a free promo ceramic mug from a fire truck manufacturer from Florida. It had the right heft to keep coffee warm and felt comfortable feel with the handle. Unfortunately, it vibrated off a fire truck I was working on an broke the handle off. I kept using it for about a decade...

Large Yellow Flames on LP Grill - Can't figure out the issue.

I think Ed may have nailed it too. The label should be on the side of the drip pan holder. Another easy check are 3 differences between NG and LP grills in the era. If the bottom panel is solid, it is a NG grill, if it has the round cutout and a tank scale, it is a LP. If it is LP, it will...

Sidewinder Rehab - Questions and progress

I personally would not. Most of what messes them up are not the threads or nuts, it's the bolt heads inside the firebox. I don't take them all the way out when I do it. I back the nut off to protect the threads and hit it with a hammer. The bolts break free pretty easily if you do it...

Sidewinder Rehab - Questions and progress

That might be fine for the threads, but I don't really want never seize inside the firebox. That's why I do the PM annually.

Sidewinder Rehab - Questions and progress

that's why I loosen them annually just to keep them from getting too gunked up, especially the rear one.

Sidewinder Rehab - Questions and progress

I forgot to add on my earlier post that since you already have it all apart, now is the time to do it. I loosen and retighten the firebox frame bolts annually as well as remove the lid pins and relube them. Photos look great!

Sidewinder Rehab - Questions and progress

I have to go with Jon on this one after years of him showing blown out bottoms and legs on these. Name of the game is to stay ahead of rust mostly in leg tubes and anywhere the bottom panel joins the L&R frames and rear panel. I'm fortunate I don't have to deal with humidity or salt air so...

    flame 27000 for sale!!!!!!!

Ed: The one in Pomona is natural gas like the one I picked up. I'll bet they'd take $150 for it after awhile if it is still available or just a stale post. Been too warm to use it yet, but no worries about propane tanks, etc. Just put a tee in my NG line so I can run the Genesis and Flame at...

    Power Cord Management

Not sure why in the garage. The other two outlets in our garage are not on a GFI. Fortunately, our garage fridge and freezer are not on the GFI. Our house was 12 y/old when we moved it. While the breaker panel was marked as was our manifold water distribution system, not much matches. Our...

    Uneven cooking?

Could be a simple as a little breeze on that side. I did the "toast test" on my grill and found the right side runs a little hotter.

    Lamb & Weston crisis!

We tried the crinkle cut and the steak fries too. Liked the traditional hand cut much better. Sounds like your market is dumping them too.

    Power Cord Management

No, but it saves contractors money on GFI's, but a pain for homeowners, especially trying to find where it is the first time it trips!
