    Q220 new to me

    Great find!

    Q200 Purchase

When the appetites grow again, you might just need both, one for meat and one for veggies. A used 120 might fetch $60 or so. Not really worth it to me to sell unless you really have no place to go with it.

Stationary cart for the Q200 missing axle.

This was the permanent style stand, not the foldable 6549. It was bought at a retail store, receipt and all. They sent me a 6549 as a replacement, which is not really what I wanted, so off to Lowes I went. Long story short, I should've just relied on my fixit myself personality instead of...

    Convert kettle to gas grill?

Charcoal is superior to propane in every way except for cost for the fuel per cook, and for the convenience of not waiting for a chimney to heat up. Get a Q 2000 or 2200 if you want a gasser that's about the same size as an 18.5 kettle. I have a 200, it's great for those small quick cooks.

How I made my SJG hot

If I close the vents on one side and bank the coals against that side, leave the other side fully open and put the lid vent right over the coals, I get pretty darn good temps out of my SJG. That said, if I am going to grill on a SJ, it's either going to be my SJS that I added the lid bail from...

Stationary cart for the Q200 missing axle.

I measured the axle part to my OTG, and it was 3/8" wide. That also about exactly is the size of the holes that the bar is supposed to pass through. I'll wait and see what Weber CS says, and if all else fails I'll head to Lowe's for some round stock.

Stationary cart for the Q200 missing axle.

Hello, I finally got around to getting the stationary cart for my Q200. It was on deep discount as it's been discontinued, so I just couldn't say no. It was still NIB and everything, but there is a part missing. Specifically, the axle for the wheels. I called Weber. They don't have that...

    Performer vs. One Touch Gold

That's a nice find, congrats! I do want a performer, but I think I'm going to spring for one that's new. Used pickings around here aren't as good for the high end Webers, although I did just get a nice WSM used. The one performer I did see needed a new burner, wheels and grates, plus the...

Jumbo Joe IS BACK! In 2013

I haven't really been on the site since the relaunch, what a cool thing to discover upon my return. Any verdict on how it cooks, especially compared to the SJP? I first thought "oh no, I just overpaid for a SJP not too long ago" and then saw the picture in that it's quite a bit different. I...

    Sea Bugs

Heading to Maine first full week of August. I intend to eat lots of sea bugs and give my new SJP a workout.

One Touch Silver or One Touch Gold?

Another vote for the gold. I converted my 22.5's from OTS to OTG with parts from eBay and am glad I did. That said, a high sided disposable aluminum casserole dish works really well when you sit it on top of the silver's ash pan. That held all the ash I needed and didn't allow much if any to...

    My Weber Table

This looks dead simple to copy. I might just have to do that. Time to put those power tools to use. I'll have to see what woods I can get at Lowes and go from there.

Asked Weber a Question About Colors

Here's a bright idea, why don't they just sell factory direct for the oddball colors? Then the buyer can special order whatever they want, and Weber can still ship the standard fare out to the retailers...
