If I wasn't going to clean any of the parts like the burners the entire replacement would have been about 30 minutes as you can short cut the directions they provided. I spent about 90 minutes because I cleaned a lot of the other parts.
Well I got the new firebox and was surprised to see a completely detailed instruction booklet on how to replace the firebox. Why exactly would they have those great directions if it was such an unheard of thing?
Not complaining, just curious about how they act like they never had a warped...
I have a Genesis of recent age (3-4yrs) and over the last few months noticed that the grates no longer fit correctly. I came to realize finally that the fire box had warped and recently its gotten much worse. Called Weber and without hesitation they told me they would send me a new one if I was...
I wonder if someone could explain why the Genesis burner tubes have smaller holes in the center of the tube? In my major use (pizza), I find that there is less heat in the center, which obviously has less flames coming from the tubes.
Just curious.

Since LP requires smaller orifices you would need to replace the valves unless you were really good at brazing the openings and drilling holes in the right spot. Not easy to do on the Weber valve bodies.
The other direction is rather simple and can be done with wire sized hand drill set from...
Are you still looking to trade? I want to switch out of LP.
If not does anyone know where I can get the orifice sized for NG - Weber does not yet offer a kit to do this

Check with the dealer to see if the flavorizer bars are SS. If so then I would consider the dealer.
I bought the 310 online and wound up buying SS grates for $99 from Amazon. So the $200 difference is not really much at all. Plus you should get better service.
I bought a new Genesis 310 LP recently. Have been having issues with the grill not getting as hot as others I have talked to. It eventually gets pretty hot, 500 on the built in thermo, but it takes more than half an hour to do so. Weber states that it should reach 500 within 10 minutes.
Others...
