    Stoker - Wireless Bridge Question

THAT is a deal killer on the whole wireless thing. I already had problems with a remote thermometer that couldn't keep a connection for more than 30 minutes. I'm not interested in going through that again. I did a quick search and found several other references to Stokers losing their...

    Stokerlog probe recognition

Hi, I finally used my stoker and had a very successful cook of a garlic-herb chicken. However I noticed that during the cook the stokerlog had a different understanding of what was controlling the temp than the stoker software. i.e. the pit probe was listed as "alarm" not as "control" is there...

Finally Decided to Take the Plunge for a Stoker

Thanks for the feedback. I should have my stoker soon so I can verify. The iPhone has been released last week here in Australia and I may be an early adaptor in the BBQ world but not in Apple world! Can't wait!

Finally Decided to Take the Plunge for a Stoker

Hi James, how did it look on the iPhone all I have is a blackberry is the internet interface PDA friendly?? It sounds so cool to have access to BBQ data on a handheld. Mine is "in the air" and has left SF on the 12th of July on it's way to Sydney (according to USPS).

    Stoker (International)

Hi has anyone heard of a stoker that has been internationally shipped? I asked (twice) via email to get a shipping quote from Rock's BBQ company but so far no reply (it does say that they ship in th US but was not sure whether that means that they don't ship outside??). I even left a voicemail...

    Stoker - High Temperature Sensor

Thanks for the feedback, as I'm supremely lazy I thought it would be a handy way to ensure: 1. the temps would never run away on me (as a KK can hit 1000 in a few unattended minutes instead of stablising at 700. 2. That the temp is brought down to finishing temps again by almost shutting down...

    Stoker Food Temps

Understood, I have a guru competitor which has two dials and the Food temp goes up to 210 (as you said crispy); but the DiGiQ II has the ability to do very low temps as well (starts at 32 I believe as opposed to the 100 for the Stoker and Competitor. Anyway I'm 98% sure I'll get a Stoker now...

    Stoker - High Temperature Sensor

Thanks, that's good news so I can let the Stoker get my pit temp up to 700 (controlled) and I can get my steak nicely cross-charred followed by a lower temp finish? As the site says Pit temp 100-450 I wasn't sure whether the actual controller good go to these high temps....

    Stoker Food Temps

Hi, I'm considering getting a stoker; Does anyone know what food ranges it can measure? The pit temp range is I believe between 100 - 450?

Weber Flat top??? (Australian eBay find)

Agreed BBQ-ing is slowly moving away from grilling here in Oz. They now sell BGE's down at Barbecues Galore and I've seen another WSM (besides my own) at a mates place. In general when the local surfclubs have a do it's all on hot plates...
