How many Heatermeter/Raspi built so far

I built 1 Heatermeter 4.0. I have smoked over 100lbs of meat using it and my WSM 22.5, and it's worked fantastic so far. I don't know what I would do without it for those overnight cooks. Waking up in the morning to see the heatermeter held the set temperature, with less than a 5 degree...

Ribbon cable between RPi and Heatermeter? My first attempt didn't go well.

So I found some good news resulting from my experiments -- my HeaterMeter is fine. I soldered on the stand-alone regulator, and it fired up without a problem. I also figured out why the cable didn't work in the "good" orientation. I took the advice to use a multimeter, and I discovered that the...

Ribbon cable between RPi and Heatermeter? My first attempt didn't go well.

I'm looking into a way to patch a cable between the heatermeter and the RPi. My first attempt didn't go well. HeaterMeter v4.0 for RaspberyPi / Standalone

I just finished my HeaterMeter 4.0 on Tuesday night and it's working great. I can count on one hand the number of times i'd used a soldering iron before this project, so I was pretty surprised that everything worked on the first go. I even held off on ordering the probes/power supply since I was...

My PCB shipped (11/28) and I ordered it on 10/29. Hopefully that helps give a timeline for anyone still waiting on a board. They ship from Portland, OR if anyone is curious.

HeaterMeter v4.0 for RaspberyPi / Standalone

I contacted Laen about the boards on 11/21, and he said that the fab would be finished on Friday 11/23 and they would be ready to ship on 11/26. If you try to order one as a custom job, it shows the next 2-layer prototype panel run as being on 11/29. I don't know what that necessarily means...
