    Stoker Sticky Damper

I put some butts on today, using some lump I hadn't used before. After cooking a couple of hours, it appeared the fan was running constantly and not maintaining the temp real well. My instinct said it's the lump, that's all that changed. I checked things out, and it was a sticky damper door on...

    Webapp functional...

James, I'm going to be gone today, saturday, but can fire up my Stoker Sunday to test this out. I've already got the ports open, ect, so external access isn't an issue. Mark

    Does the stoker serve JSON?

If you send a note to webmaster@kaytat.com with what your looking for, you'll likely hear back. I was successful on another occasion with having some other functionality made available.

Help accessing Stoker from outside of LAN

I stumbled across this deal on a netgear that does support the IP reservations needed to allow the Stoker to be set to use DHCP, yet still get the same IP each time: http://www.gearxs.com/gearxs/p...hp?products_id=13094 Not bad for < $30 shipped.

Help accessing Stoker from outside of LAN

Ed, I had the same problems. I think it's related to the subnet issue, I had the same situation. I was able to get around this by resetting the stoker to dyanmic IP, and then in the netgear configuration, using the Address Reservation settings (under the LAn IP Setup page) to assign a static IP...

    Stoker in bad weather?

I use the rubbermaid box with some PVC additions. This time of year, there's a heating pad in the box too to keep things warm and working. I've used foil on the fan, but going foward I'm stealing the beer can solution. Brilliant.

    Fan Size

I have a large big green egg with a stoker, and a 5 cfm fan. Everything works great when I'm staying < 300 with the temp. Aweome in fact! But, the stoker seems to struggle maintaining temps higher than 300, with ~10 degree swings in temp. I'm wondering if it's the fan size. Is anyone running a...

Preferred network set-up for a Stoker

I have the linksys wireless bridge, and it seems very sensitive to temperature changes, only wanting to work reliably between 50 and 65 degrees. Outside of that range, it's constantly dropping. I pulled a wire to fix this.

Stoker and setting up remote monitoring

I had the exact same issue. The problem appears to be that when the Stoker is set for a fixed IP, the subnet and gateway addresses are not getting set correctly. I tried to manually set them on the stoker, but the values wouldn't save. To get around this, I set the stoker to use DHCP (needed...

    Stokerlog Version 6

Amir, I upgraded to 6.3 of stokerlog. I succesfully ran it with probes only and the .249 firmware without any exceptions for over 20 hours. I did have a problem with the Twitter setting. It appears that not matter what I put in the "Update Interval", it updates twitter every minute. Although...

    Stokerlog Version 6

Amir, I'm running Version 2.6.0.249 of the Stoker and the latest/build release of Stoker log. I've been smoking some corned beef, using Stokerlog. At least 4x throughout the last 3 hours, i've gotten the exception that I pasted below. i have also gotten 'invalid telnet stream' in the stoker log...

    Stoker Placement

I've had my BGE about 8 months, and the Stoker for about 3 months. What a combo, but that goes without saying. My configuration is the Stoker connected to a Linksys WET54G Wireless-G Bridge near the Egg in the backyard, connecting wirelessly to a Linksys access point in the house (the AP is...
