Pit Meter - iPhone app for the HeaterMeter

Using the latest snapshot (with pushbullet integrated) it appears I no longer get push notification for pit droid. Is this a known issue? [truncated] {"Message":"An error has occurred.","ExceptionMessage":"Authentication failed because the remote party has closed the transport...

"No Pit Probe" above 450 Degrees?

Apologies, I mean 450F... The thermocouple works fine until circa 450, and the other 3 jack probes seem to work fine (albeit I have not tried them above 450!)

"No Pit Probe" above 450 Degrees?

Hi Brian, I've checked and it appears I'm not getting a reading at pin 21?

"No Pit Probe" above 450 Degrees?

Hi Guys, After finally getting my HM Thermocouple version working, I seem to have an issue whereby "no pit probe" is displayed above roughly 450 degrees. If I leave it and it drops below it comes back alive again. I've checked all joints etc and they seem correct, it's also spot on below this...

    thermocouple connector sourcing question

I agree it's quite an expense for 1 component, but I couldn't find a cheaper Heatermeter PCB friendly alternative :-/

    thermocouple connector sourcing question

This is the best deal, I had to purchase one via Ebay at the cost of £6.77 before the July shipping offer at Farnell.

    Thermocouple Readings Sky High

Hi Guys, Sorry for late response, I was on slight sleep shift and just woke to my first alarm to check on the progress of things. It's now 2:30am and things are looking nice and steady. It seems I'm currently experiencing the legendary stall... http://postimg.org/image/9k1sgiwhz/ I've checked...

    Thermocouple Readings Sky High

Yes, the strange thing is, once it's come down, it reacts what I presume is normally... It also drops back down very quickly too (Albeit not past the lowest value if it was still settling. I have a pretty decent multimeter I think (http://goo.gl/yLVZHS), but like most things, it's probably far...

    Thermocouple Readings Sky High

Howdy Ralph, This morning I replaced all the caps and resistors, I'm not sure how to confirm the value of the caps - but I ensured they came out the correctly labeled Mouser bag! I was considering ordering a separate batch of caps just to make sure they're correct. I love the option of the RD...

    Thermocouple Readings Sky High

Hi Ralph, I get these readings when shorting the 2 points, to I presume that removes any concerns about the TC? Don't be sorry, it's just my luck :-(

    Thermocouple Readings Sky High

Okay, I woke up early this morning and decided to resolder all the caps / resistors / amp. Still no luck, it still does the same thing. As per the testing procedure the Amp is getting a nice steady 3.25v - shorting the 2 points shown I then see the voltage start high and count down. This...

    Thermocouple Readings Sky High

I checked all these points with my multimeter and get a solid thumbs up from the buzzer and each point as expected... Ralph, I'm sorry to trouble you with this and really appreciate your help. Right now I feel like throwing it in the trash!

    Thermocouple Readings Sky High

Hi Ralph, I'm pretty stupid when it comes to PCB's and am having a hard time tracing the routes, I've no idea how you trace it to the 100k resistor?! Are you referring to the one near the 68 / 22k resistors? Edit: I presume you're talking about the 100k near the pit jack...
