Make your own eyelets/grommets for under $5

Yes, they both fit through the lamp tube easily.

    grommets

From looking at them, I doubt it, but I cannot say from first hand experience; I only had the Guru grommets (great product for thinner probes.)

    grommets

The ET-732 probes are wider and will not fit in the guru grommets. Been there, done that. I did the lamp hardware mod in this forum-- one grommet, and both probes will fit. http://tvwbb.com/eve/forums/a/...80069052/m/945107275

Make your own eyelets/grommets for under $5

I finally snapped some not-so-great photos of the lamp grommets using the existing upper strap supports, like the BBQ Guru eyelets. The existing holes were enlarged and SS metric nuts were used with the smallest rod pictured in the assorted pack earlier in the thread.

    k caddy?

I have a patio with no shed or garage for storage and the kaddy really made life easier. And it fits the 20lb Home Depot kingsford bags just fine. As pointed out, I can use it just as easily for my WSM or OTG. It keeps my charcoal dry and is well designed for easy pouring.

    Goo trickling out

Hi everybody. I tried searching but didn't see too many threads that mentioned the goo... On some smokes, a bit of goo comes out from under the thermo, the latch handle, and the lower vents. Is this normal? I was not oversmoking... the most recent time, I was smoking some spares and used two...

    WSM Cover

Not my idea, got this from camping-- make your own seam sealant by mixing silicone glue/sealant with paint thinner/mineral spirits until it is the right consistency. Brush on the seams with a small foam brush. I did this on my WSM cover and am pleased with the results. Marcus

Make your own eyelets/grommets for under $5

Thanks for the great tips all. I did this with the threaded lamp hardware, but decided to use one of the existing holes for the grill strap. I had been using the BBQ Guru eyelet kit, but when my ET-732 arrived, the probes would not fit. I removed the Guru eyelet and drilled out the hole in...
