Sam - I'm in Seattle and have extra hoods with end caps if you need a set.
I picked up a 2000 with great condition z brackets, wood bottom shelf, and slide mechanism swing table last weekend. I've painted the frame and just need to sand and vanish the wood to finish my first rehab.
Did you get a replacement, fix with JB Weld, or use as is? Long matches or long lighter will light the middle and rear burners. With enough gas buildup, the middle and rear burners eventually ignite, but that is dangerous.
Unfortunately that isn't the issue. There's a large amount of flame exiting from the gaps in the connection between the front burner tube and the side burner tube.
I recently installed the onlyfire burners in my 1000. The crossburner connection is too loose, and ignited gas doesn't effectively flow from the front burner to the middle and rear burners.
Natural gas?! I was talking with the seller since Monday but couldn't find a truck to grab it. I really wanted that 3000 frame, side burner, and bottom tray.
I did, however, get a free 1000 greenie last Saturday with flip up side table.
