Just sharing a screenshot of what the RD3 is capable of on my smoker. I'm using the HM 4.3 with the RD3 on a FireMagix 24S-SM. You can see that I started out at 225, went to 250, then 325, then down to 275. Pretty impressed. Thanks Ralph!
Not cooking anything today. Just doing some test runs with different temps throughout the day. Also making sure everything is working after it got rained on last week.

Thanks for the help last night. Looks like your cook went very well. Mine was going well till some rain decided to take out my HM. Hopefully it will survive otherwise, I'll be ordering parts soon.
It is a smaller brisket. I forgot to check the size before starting. This is my first time cooking at 250. Wanted to try something different. Are you still able to connect to my cook? I lost connection after I wrapped.
That's awesome! You did a great job. I was really close to building a similar setup from some plans, but I came across mine on Craigslist so I thought I would give it a try. I was watching yours recover from that last door open. That was quick recovery.
Thanks buddy. It's a FireMagic 24S-SM gravity feed smoker. Your temp looks great as well! I'm pretty surprised since I didn't do any testing before connecting the Roto-Damper up. It overshot by about 2 degrees while it was recovering after I put the brisket in. Other than that, it's been pretty...
Just put on a brisket. This is my first cook with the Roto-Damper. So if it goes crazy, don't blame the device, haha. I haven't tweaked any settings for this device so it's basically out of the box. Let's see how it goes!

Good morning Ralph. What are my purchase options for the RD3? I think I want the hand wired version. I'm not sure what the benefits of the other option are to be honest. I may have access to a printer, so just the files may be fine, but direct purchase is an option too. Let me know, thanks!
Thanks for the info Steve. I was running it at about half to 1/3 open. I'll try opening the top a bit more next time to see how it runs. I'm pretty sure most of my issues on that cook were fuel related. I ran it for 8 hours or so the next day with zero issues.
Using the Microdamper on my new Primo XL today. I didn't have anything to cook for, but found a couple of small butts on sale so decided to test out the MD with the Primo.
Replaced live link with the actual cook. I ran out of fuel about 2:30am or so. Last night it started struggling to keep...
