Weber does not sell just that little bracket that I need. Anyone have a spare one? Or, if you have this style of grill, can you take some pics of the bracket, maybe even measure it, so I can make one? Thanks!
Thanks for the pic! however, I don't quite think that is what I need. I have the rod, and the "rail", I just don't have that bracket or clip that the rod attaches to that would then slide on the rail.
I'm not sure if Weber sells that as a separate part, maybe someone out there has a spare?
I don't know how to exactly describe it, but I am looking for the bracket that the rod for the left side table attaches to so it can slide on the rail on the left side. I have the "rail" that this bracket slides onto (the "rail" is attached to the frame horizontally on the left side), but I...
Please let me know if you would consider parting it out as well instead of possibly junking it. I could use the knobs and maybe the manifold, plus maybe the side bracket that holds up the side table. Thanks!
I have a question about the alignment of the center burner tubes on a Genesis. I have an old Genesis 1. On my grill. the center burner tube is set to have the holes aligned in a horizontal setting. Meaning the holes are set so that the flames come out the sides, like the other tubes do...
Thanks Jeff. I have seen some new knobs out there and I may end up having to go that route, but was just wondering if someone had a used one as that way it would match (in age, roughly) the knobs I have.
BTW, has anyone used a "new" knobs that is the same style as the old ones? Comments on...
I have an old Genesis 1, at least that is what I think it is called. The year code is L1. You can see my grill in this thread, along with the broken knob. http://tvwbb.com/showthread.php?65693-Old-red-top-what-is-it-and-advice
Anyway, I broke one of the knobs when removing it. I am...
Okay, so I was wrong. An adapter is NOT needed to attach a Genesis 1 to part 7503. I could not for the life of me get my hose to thread. I took it to Fastenal to pick up my adapter and they said I didn't need one and screwed the hose right into the manifold. I have no idea why I couldn't do...
I am going to pick up today the adapter I listed above and will let everyone know if it is the correct one. The Genesis 1 (I presume that is what I have, anyone know for sure what it is?) has a threaded hole as mentioned above. The Weber 7503 regulator and hose (it was the one the Weber said I...
So is this the type of fitting I need,? https://www.fastenal.com/products/details/440039-131280 If the old manifold is 1/4" NPT female, and the new regulator, part 7503 is 1/8" NPT male, would this work?
I have the Weber regulator. On my grill (called Weber and they said it's a genesis 1 with a year of 1985-1992). My manifold does not have a fitting to attach a hose like the part listed above. Rather, the manifold is threaded to accept the hose, but my threads don't seem to match the Weber...
BTW, that is NOT paint on the inside of the firebox, it's soot or something that was hard to scrape off. I tried to clean it up best I can (still need to clean racks, etc.) Also, one other question: Do I have the center burner tube oriented correctly? I have seen photos with burner tube...
Here's the photos (thanks to FAQ for helping me, I've never done this before). First photos should be how it was when I got it. Last 4 photos should be after I cleaned it up and painted it.
