    The All Encompassing Beer Thread

We'll undoubtedly have that out here during Philly Beer Week. I'm sure it'll be an absolute **** show out your way for that. I like Russian River's IPA's, but I like the one's from Kern River and Alpine even more.

Oh...I'm more familiar with New Glarus brews than you can possibly imagine, especially their Unplugged (now renamed "Thumbprint") series of beers. New Glarus Brewing, to me, is the undisputed king of fruit based beer brewing. Their Cranbic, Apple Ale, Raspberry Tart, and Wisconsin Belgian Red...

I envy you! we're still waiting in S.E. Pa for this. Hopefully next week. In the mean time, the growler is filled with Two Hearted Ale. </div></BLOCKQUOTE> They had a ton of it up at Shangy's near Allentown.

Yeah well, I'm coming back in a big way. Tomorrow I'm going to do a nice tri-tip or two...and then Saturday's the biggie. I'm doing a Berkshire pork butt on one kettle, and a USDA prime Wagyu brisket on another. Going to get 'em both underway around 10PM or so on Saturday night. I have a...

    13º Tri Tip

It's been a while since I've been back around these parts. I've been slackin' off on the grilling front, and I dare say if I peruse a few more threads, I'm going to be inspired and ready to go. Awesome looking meal. Going to the freezer to pull a couple of tri's...right NOW.

Some of my recent good beer experiences: There's a brewery in Michigan called Kuhnhenn's and as a barleywine lover, they make one helluva barleywine. One of the best beers I've ever had. Baller Stout was a collaboration between Three Floyds, Surly in Minnesota, Struisse in Belgium, and...

It's not tough to get outside of NW Indiana/Chicago, it's virtually impossible. FFF (Three Floyds) pretty much pulled out of every market they were in to focus on the home front, which doesn't help me, but I can appreciate it. My uncle who lives in Homer Glen, IL was just at the brewpub in...

    Searing Experiment: chimney vs. basket

How long before someone makes a portable grill, that is essentially a chimney with a top that is fitted for a grate, with a flip-top lid/dome that opens/closes like the top of a coffee carafe ? I mean...a charcoal chimney with a grate on top is every bit a grille minus any kind of lid.

A couple bits of beer goodness imagery.... A fabulous box of beer I got from an acquaintance in Indiana. A ton of Three Floyds goodness, including Arctic Panzer Wolf, Moloko, Admiral Nelson, Alpha King, Zombie Dust, and the holy grail, a can of Heady Topper from The Alchemist in Vermont...

Top Chef Canada Winning Pulled Pork Recipe

I was thinking the same thing, AJ. I just picked up a nice butt at the grocery store for some action Friday.

Sent you an email regarding Lunch. One **** fine IPA. I'm drinking my first bottle of Russian River Pliny the Elder this evening, with a bottle of Russian River Blind Pig to follow. I'm dyin' to have me some Lunch, though. I've had the Peeper and the Zoe, and they were excellent.

I am Jack's broken heart. Received a bottle of Cigar City's Humidor Series IPA as an extra in a trade with an individual in Florida. Went to pull it from the fridge, and hadn't pulled out far enough before lifting up and caught the neck of the bottle on the fridge light. Fell from my hand...

Nice looking lineup. I've actually had a change to try a few of these since you posted. I was able to have the Boulevard/Deschutes Collaboration 2 - White IPA, the Dark Truth, the Tank #7, and the Smokestack Series Limited Release Imperial Stout. All very very good stuff. I can't stand...
