I never appreciated my dad's BBQ skills until my parents split awhile back, once the holidays came around I realized just how spoiled I really was. Uncle's on my mom's side took over the grill in my dad's place where they excelled at turning chicken thighs to rubber and would order pizza before throwing on the tri-tip (just in case). Out of necessity and new found interest, that's when I first started learning to cook on a grill.
