So my Classic Accessories Medium cover arrived today. For anyone wondering, it's the perfect size for this grill. Unlike what others have suggested, I would say that it's arguably a little on the large size, but certainly not by much - it's actually great.
Thanks for all the advice!
I did wipe with oil after brushing actually...
It will take some seriously hard brushing to get it off... do I need to worry about that? Or just go for it?
So, fired her up for the first time last night and had dome lovely sausages...
Afterwards, heated her up for 15mins and then took my brush to the grill. Even after brushing a reasonable amount, I still have charred bits of... fat (I presume?...) stuck to the grate. Is this an issue or just par...
Ha - i've just got an E310 and I was about to post exactly the same questions!
a) Which way up should the grates go
b) do the grates need seasoning (I am doing so right now, and I guess doing it is never going to be a bad thing!)
c) I have bought a stainless steel brush - is this going to be...
Thanks for pointing that out! Tbh, I hadn't looked very closely at that point (am just about to run a leak check now), but I was assuming that was the max position!!
Thanks - I read the manual and online faq last night and they said the same thing too.
I must say tho, the grates seem 100% cat iron, where as the description on the product page says porcelain enameled cast iron... It must be an incredibly thin layer of porcelain if that's the case!
Thanks for that. Small sounds too small, so think it'll need to be the medium anyway. Unless the sides fold down on the e310... Dunno. It arrives tomorrow so maybe I'll hold off to take a look!
Thanks - close to ordering one from the states... which size do you have for your Genesis (think they're pretty much the same size as the Spirit right?)
Fair point. They are very expensive tho - I can get the Calssic Accessories one delivered to the UK for 2/3 of the price of the weber one, so may just do that... esp if the are apparently better
They look good, but i don't seem to be able to find them in the UK :(
EDIT - actually, i have found a couple on ebay that will ship to the UK for not too ridiculous prices... is it the 73922 or 73912 i'd need for Weber e310?
I have just bitten the bullet and am having a Weber Spirit Original E-310 delivered at the weekend :)
I've ordered some Weber tools and a T-Brush to go with it, so I can keep it in good condition, but I want to get a cover...
I've heard and read that the Weber covers are about the only thing...
