Need your help picking between these 2!

I am looking at either getting the Craycort Cast Iron Grates plus the griddle/hotplate or the Splash-Proof Super-Fast Thermapen. I am up in the air for which one would be of more use. I grill a lot on my Weber Performer and new 18.5" WSM. Would love to know what your guys opinion is on this question I have!

whatever you do Jay, don't get the <span class="ev_code_GREEN">green</span> thermapen, it's too fast!
 
I've got the CIG on my list as well. However, I just ordered a thermapen. The grates are for aesthetic appeal, but you need a thermapen!
