What is the best way to check for accuracy for the Maverick ET732?

What would try putting it in boiling water and/or ice water.

I did put it into ice water. It displayed LLL...what does that mean?

That it doesent read zero temps....And in boiling?

Like the link that Len posted, keep you're probes at room temp. I've had that LLL reading before. But only when I stored the probes outside on much colder days than this..

I got the LLL message and wiggled the probe wire where it meets the probe plugged it back in during the Ice/Boil test and it was working again. They are sending me new probes under warranty though.
