Just purchased a SJG. I know a lot of people complain about the temperature while cooking with this model, but I like a challenge. I have been able to hold the internal temperature at 400-410 degrees for a couple of hours now with no problem (nothing is on it). I cooked some chicken and then have been letting it go with the lid on to see what the temperature control was like. Before I go spending my whole summer trying to get the temperature hotter, what is the max temperature I can expect to get out of this grill?
