Nectarines, peaches, and strawberries are good, too. Pound cake grills nicely. You can cut slabs of it, grill, and serve as is, drizzled with butter, or honey butter, or insert-your-favorite-liqueur here mixed with a little melted butter and toasted nuts. Ice cream is a nice addition here too.
Pound cake cut in large cubes skewers well. With banana and strawberries you can grill a tasty kabob and drizzle with a chocolate (or other) sauce of your choice.
Or split a banana and stuff with chocolate chips and mini-marshmallows. Wrap in foil and grill for a few minutes. Serve with a spoon right in the foil packets, or scoop on to a plate with ice cream and top with toasted almonds, or serve on top of grilled pound cake that you previously dried a bit in the oven and painted with coconut milk before grilling.
