The WEBteq

I mentioned a few weeks back that the Recteq Bullseye was on sale
with free shipping- still is if you are interested.
I searched a couple of pages and noticed that it is a nice easy fit
directly into a Performer frame. Having a nice spare SSP, the wheels
were set in motion. Introducing.... The WEBteq ....

Looking forward to firing it up soon, but I will still need
to install a brace underneath for support before filling
the hopper. Hopefully this weekend.

Very cool, the wheel are over the top cool. I think putting new wheels on my late father-in-law's kettle was what ready brought it back to life. I really thought about adding the bullseye a few months back, I am interested to see how you like it.

Wow, that is just totally, over the top cool! Beautiful and creative work on that one, Dave.

So, I will be very interested to hear how it cooks for you. The SSP frame is the perfect nesting place for the Bullseye. My alternative idea was to see if the Spider 22 could be mounted successfully. This worked out great!

Simply amazing, all the extra touches really sets it apart.
I don't know much about the pellet grill portion but the name speaks for itself.
You took the whole hinge assembly off for a picture with the kettle lid too???? I like the red better but it may not be as efficient as they claim with that red top on it....???
I would like one.....where is the pre order form????

Just a few wings season w/ Special Sh**

Will likely do burgers on night this week and possibly
a pizza Friday. Planning to reverse sear a couple of
steaks next Sunday.

The control panel is very basic. Heats much quicker than
the SF. The cool down is weird though. It only runs for
about 2 minutes.

Great first cook and eval.
Like the faster start up and much shorter shut down time report.

Very cool creation you have made there Dave!

My brother is in the market for a pellet grill. I'm trying to steer him in the direction of this grill. He's very much a novice in regards to charcoal/pellet grills. Would you say this is would be a pretty easy grill to use for someone like that?

Edit: wanted to add that his wife wants him to buy a green egg knock off called a "Lifesmart 400 Kamado".
I asked what he wants the grill for and he said for smoking / low and slow. Knowing him a pellet grill lines up better with his grilling ability. The only grill he currently owns is a Weber Genesis gasser. Assuming this Bullseye has a low setting for low and slow cooks.
