...thanks for the heads up Brian_S: http://tvwbb.com/showthread.php?58178-Walmart-charcoal-sale-starts-3-22-8-94-for-33-4lbs

You gotta love walmart :) (and I knew you had wings going) We know you love your wings :) (they look great, as always)

I'm too predictable :)

The next things I'm lookin at cookin are this, and something similar.

These wings were definitely better than the ones on the gasser, but they cooked for 34 minutes & it took 20 minutes to fire up the mini chimney.... the gasser knocks at least 20 minutes off of that. I was very happy with these.

This is from one of two Cooks Illustrated cookbooks I picked up within the last month - the first one was their vegetarian one & I made some black bean enchiladas---- I forget the next thing I want to make (somebody closed the book & I didn't have it marked well enough)---out of the La Cocina de la frontera...(available used @ amazon...never cooked anything out of it but it looks good and was recommended by somebody here).

That's how the recipe reads - nothing like what I expected. The other recipe I'm interested in is I think carnitas but it's also different than I'm used to.

I could use that for Gyro meat too!

Sweet looking jerk wings! Struck out on my Wally World KBB run today. All they had left were 12.6lb twin packs for nearly $15! Forget that.

If it's sized for home use Chuck, I'd take it.
Heck yeah it's sized for the home. But that one is $650+ (USD) I have yet to find an affordable al Pastor cooker. The one I want can been seen at Pepe's Tacos, Cabo San Lucas (right across from the movie theater) That's where I got hooked on Tacos al Pastor, and sometime I'll go to Cabo for one reason....to goto Pepe's Tacos :)

I've never seen the double packs in Canada, nor can I explicitly remember kbb going on sale like it does in the US.

I'd cross the border for the sale, but after you factor in time, gas, and 80 cents on the dollar, it's cheaper to pay full price.

The wing man at his best! I know I some times I use the gasser if it's windy or I'm being lazy, but grillin is about chillin and the more time you chill the better it is, so that 20 minuets is just more chill time.

Nice deal, Clint! My wife surprised me with 2 packs myself, but from Sam's Club. They're owned by same company so prob running same sale.

Nice looking wings. When you've got that much charcoal on hand, every cook gets the kettle even when the gasser might be "easier".
