Tomahawk Pork Chops on the Q

Great idea with the balsamic glaze. Ramping up the flavor and texture with zucchini has always been challenge and will definitely try it out next time. Also, I saw those chops at the meat counter at the local Harris Teeter and I HAD to get them. The chops were super flavorful and tender.

Tomahawk Pork Chops on the Q

Hey Bruce, For the grilled zucchini I heavily add olive oil and coat with salt and pepper. I grilled for a few minutes a side on medium-high. This makes it taste much better. On a veggie yummy scale where 1=sucks and 10=awesome, this approach yields a 6. My kids (boys 6 and 8) ate them and...

NY Strip on the Q 1200

Howdy! It has been a long time since I posted anything, but after watching the Fire Escape Griller on youtube I got motivated. What to do with a 3" NY Strip on a Wednesday night? Fire up the Q and cook it up. Method Warmed up the baby Q on high for few minutes. While Q is getting to temp...

    Need Advice - 22, 18 or smaller?

I concur with the Jumbo Joe too. Perfect for a road trip and the lid clamp can be used for a lid holder too.

    Grill sizes and kamados

Yes cooking a whole meal for a family of 4 on a 18 inches is a challenge but it is doable. As my signature notes: I have a Large BGE and Jumbo Joe both of which are 18 inches. Planning your meals and timing is of up most importance. For example, cooking steak ,veggies, salmon and garlic...

    no one?

I haven't posted in awhile but this post got me back in the groove. I love my Q220! Tonight I cooked up some brats, roasted whole chicken and some garlic bread see below. You can really pack the food in the 220. Like many Q grillers I use my performer on the weekends but the Q is the weekday...

    Grilling on the Q1200

After getting my $99 Q1200 from Target during clearance, I needed to test drive it. I attached the Q to a 20lb of propane and preheated to 500. Grilled some salmon, garlic bread and veggies in a foil pack. Later on, let's see if the baby Q can do righteous grill marks on a NY strip...

Weber Q1200 $99 Clearance At Target

Thanks for the heads-up, Nick! I picked one up today and I now have 7 grills; I think I have a problem :) and (the SWMBO is not too pleased  ) Can't wait to test out the Baby Q. Last year I picked up a Jumbo Joe during the Target summer clearance sale and it has been a great grill.

Has the 2200 Fixed Regulator Issues

I have made the conversion myself and just noticed that the Q220 lights faster and gets hotter (of course it has been 90-100 degrees in Charlotte lately, so the real test is during the winter ). I would guess that your propane is bad, I would exchange your tank for a new one.

    Stand for Q220

I have a Q220 and I've made the replace the regulator modification with great results. Next I wanted to get a permanent stand and previous stationary cart (SKU 9508) is now discontinued and the cart for the 2200 says it doesn't fit the older model. So what am I to do? I scoured the net and...

Need a Tamale pot? Wally World to the Rescue 8)

Rich, Have you used this pot yet? It looks quite promising. I am looking to build one this summer and with the Vasconia pot hard to find I am looking for alternatives and I think I did see that pot at Walmart and the build quality seemed better than the 32 quart steamer.

    Q220 No tLighting

All, The flame on my Q220 has been slowly not performing like it used too. Then today nothing won't light at all. I swapped out the 20lb tank adapted and add a Colemen 1lb cylinder and still nothing. I removed the burner and cleaned it. It lit for a few minutes that died down. I even took...

Spatchcock Chicken on the Smokey Joe

The Smokey Joe is quite versatile. Today I cooked a spatchcock chicken on it with my homemade rub. Used 1 small weber chimney full of kingsford and grilled 20 minutes per side. I have enough charcoal to cook a salmon for dinner. Verdict, cooking so close to the coals the bird had a different...

    Steak Dinner on the Q

By using Phil Hartcher's advice on cooking steaks on the Weber Q, I made a dinner using nothing but the Q. 2 thick NY Strip steaks, green beans (garlic, salt, pepper) in a foil pack, and grilled bread with butter. The kids (3 year old and 4.5 year old) devoured the steak which is quite rare...
