David, Great find on that Genesis Platinum. I gotta agree with Tom, that Smoker is all but useless. If it is a keeper invest in the best Grates you can, you'll be glad you did. Jeff

Regarding the Assembly Bolts I would order Black Stainless Steel Bolts to keep it looking original but still provide some rust protection. Mcmaster-Carr has a good selection.

What I would do is coat all internal lower frame pieces with Fluid Film and on those two lower frame pieces I would use these plugs.

It's amazing the Knockoffs these days. Just purchased 2 Milwaukee 6amp M12 batteries from ebay recently. They are a dead ringer for genuine Milwaukee but the weight and the stamped serial number gives it away. Back they go... Jeff
