Does anyone, anywhere make solid, thick 304SS grates for the go anywhere?

I'm willing to pay shipping from overseas if that's what it takes. I've fallen back in love with my charcoal WGA - we are having an addition built that has put my other grills out of commission. I've been super impressed with the WGA but the factory grate leaves a lot to be desired. I know Killa...

Glen Blue 26" - What is going on with values?

There are people selling these for $900, how are folks coming up with that value? I have one, nearly unused, with a spare brand new lid and bowl (original had underspray where you can see black on the bottom but it's not super noticeable). $900 seems pretty outrageous for a $430 grill?

Weber Q - fuel shutting off with small tanks, differences in regulators?

I have a Weber q220, older that has hardly been used. Sat in my basement for a few years. Took it to the beachhouse to replace the q100 after 10 years of salty air. The q220 randomly won’t stay lit. I’ve tried new propane bottles no luck. It will sometimes run fine for 20-30 minutes. It happens...

Suckling Pig - Weight / Length / Method

Thinking about doing a suckling pig on the 26" kettle or 22" WSM to go along with the turkey this year. Who has done it? How much did yours weigh? Any tips on technique?

Can we talk about the Char Broil Big Easy?

I usually do two turkeys, this year I'm doing one on the char broil big easy. If you're not familiar, it basically uses infrared, it's almost like a propane air fryer. They're fairly inexpensive, under $100 on sale, way less right after thanksgiving used once...

Can we talk about taming wild Salmon

My family greatly prefers the "buttery" mild flavor and texture of farmed salmon. I have to say I probably agree, sacrilege I know I've tried wild salmon so many ways, from simple salt and pepper to raging river to smoked. Any tips here? I'm thinking about trying a very mild, short brine next time

WGA - GrillGrates don't fit due to the lid hanger, notching the grates voids the warranty?

My lid will not seal, not even close, due to the tabs for hanging the lid. I called GrillGrate, they seemed to know this was an issue, and said I'm welcome to cut a notch in the grate however it will void the warranty. Alternatively I can send them back for a refund. Thoughts? Am I missing...

Large griddle for Q100 120 1000 1200? Not split grate

I'm looking for a large griddle for the Q 100 / series. Any options? I'm seeing lots of choices for split grate setups but that's a little clunky. I'd rather have one large smooth surface

Is there a guide on restoring a genesis to prevent galvanic corrosion?

I've searched the forums and read a lot of stuff. General consensus is try to use stainless parts? I have a genesis C I restored about 5 years ago and it's due again. My framerail on the left side is rusting but solid. The body is getting a lot of the aluminum blooming from galvanic reaction...

Yet another camping discussion - Q, go anywhere, SJ / JJ

Once a year we go camping with a bunch of folks from our neighborhood on campsites (park 20 feet away), but the sites are only maybe 30-40 feet apart. IE everything is pretty tucked in together. This means when lighting charcoal it's going to smoke some folks out. Trying to decide whether to buy...

Cover for q3200 / q320 with tables down?

The standard weber cover is super loose if the tables are down. Does anyone have a cover model handy that is a nice snug fit when the q3200 has the tables folded?

    Char-Broil Big Easy Oilless Fryer

This is a super interesting cooker that has a lot of positive feedback. I've got a line on a barely used one for $50 and am going to snag it. Anyone here used one? I'm surprised no other company has made anything similar:

Time to put this Q200 to pasture, or save it?

This popped up on FB marketplace, they accepted a low offer as my main interest was the included stand to use for another setup. Based on the pics I considered the Q as a freebie, possible throwaway. So I get it home, and it's pretty disgusting. Grate is cracked in a place where the right side...

Thoughts on gaskets on a 26"?

Trying to decide whether or not to put a gasket on my 26"... I'm a little hesitant as they tend to cook off on the green eggs with super high temp cooks. I doubt I will be doing much low and slows on the 26", but I've also read they tend to leak more than 22" Thoughts? If you run a gasket...

    PK 360 Grill vs. Kettle

Curious what folks thoughts are on the PK Grills https://www.pkgrills.com/the-pk360-grill-smoker-classic-silver/ I have a 22" Dove Gray Perf Platinum in the basement since it doesn't fit on my patio (22" WSM, Large BGE, vintage Genesis). The side table of the Performer is just too large for...

Any interest in a discord channel?

I searched and couldn't find any info on this - if not allowed, certainly delete. Discord is a live chatroom, basically a way to choot the sh*t and discuss daily stuff that doesn't fit in a "forum" environment. In that context, it's not intended to drive traffic or dilute the forums - more of...

Does anyone have a line on the Q100 carts?

I have two of Q100's, love them, however I now could really use a cart (actually two). It seems like they are no longer made by Weber. I see them sometimes on cragslist/facebook but it's always along with the grill itself. Any tips ?

    Let's talk hanging meats

I'm super excited for my hanging setup for the 22" wsm. There's one thing I've read and seen on youtube that seems like it's 50/50 With ribs, you have a "thin" end and a "thick" end. Some folks hook the thin end, the thought is that the thicker end is closer to the fire and needs a little more...

Water pan directly up against lower grate - 22"

I just picked up a 22" WSM, and I'm surprised at how the lower grate basically sits directly on the water pan. Versus my 18" where there is a bit of an air gap. I don't use water, and with my 18" I used a tray to cover the water pan. I don't think that will work on the 22", as there will be...

Making a temp control adapter for bottom vent

I have a pitmaster iq120 that I really like. However, I only have the attachment for my egg. I was pretty shocked to find that a WSM adapter from pitmaster iq will cost me $35 shipped. It looks like a simple stainless bowl with an adapter nipple. One thing I don't like, is the 'butterfly'...
