I have some of these on my Drum Smokers, but this is the first for the WSM's.
I got some scrap brass tire stems from a truck shop, cut off the valve stems, removed the rubber gaskets, drilled out the flange and ground down the backing nuts.
Here are the finished products.
I had a few stainless steel valve stems, but they were a PITA to drill out and grind down to size, so I stuck with the brass as they are easier to work with.
You will have to drill into the grate holder and center section, but it has a nice clean look.
A Machinist I'm not, just a putzing hack! I wish I could tell you what size they are, but I stuck the threaded part in my drill card and it's 13/32" and the nut got tightened with a 9/16" wrench.
Just thought I'd add to the insanity!
