WSM Mounted on Gasser Frame

I took a 3 burner Genesis gasser and made a few modifications to accommodate an 18" WSM. I welded a round piece on top of the frame so the lip of the bottom section can set on.

Cool idea for a stand! What is that snazzy gold rimmed therm you are using? Also someone has been burning sticks from the yard in you charcoal bowl

The snazzy gold therm came off a Brinkmann grill that had met an early demise. Yes, the sticks are from a fruit tree in the yard.

Let me ask you and the other WSM table users - How do you guys access the WSM onces it's mounted that high?

I'm about 5'7" and I have no problems. For me the extra height makes it easier to check the bottom vents and makes for less ashes in the face when dumping the hot coals into the bottom section. I also like having the flat surfaces the table provides. I had wanted to make a table for some time after I first saw the WSM mounted on the 18" platinum. Since I completed this I have been using it a whole lot more. Weber provides a nice selection of extras for the kettle, I just wish the offered a few more goodies for the WSM's. Possibly a subject for another thread but I have also used a Weber gasser frame and modified it for use as an outdoor wok cooker. I took a turkey fryer and mounted it on the frame.
