On my 22.5 I tied the charcoal ring to the grate with hose clamps, I looked at the 14.5 and decided that I didn't want to use them for it.
I had some 10 ga (?) wire laying around so decided a quick wrap in 6 spots would make a very secure fit. I could then pickup the whole unit to shake it out.
