Tonight I get to test swordfish out on
"Black Betty".

I think it was an accessorie that was offered at one time and then discontinued. Other than that I really don't know much else. I bought it used and it was originally made for a regular Weber. I did a little modifying and installed it. They really should start making these again.

My testimony is after trying it out last night I hope I never have to cook without it again. It is already my favorite accessorie.

Yes they are perfectly balanced, and solid. They attach by a couple HD L brackets that attach to the original WSM holes that hold up the grate. I will send a couple more pictures. Brian, your right they do look a little like the BGE tables. Thanks

My idea is now that we have a prototype maybe they could be remade.

Okay here are two more pictures. I hope these help. The Westies white dog hair blows into my cooking cove and on Black Bettie. I have to clean it off before before each cook.If someone has a pipe bender like for conduit and some conduit, I bet you could easily make one in a few hours. Paint the metal black and add sanded redwood slats. Drill the holes in the conduit so it screws right in to the cooker. It would be an inexpensive mod.

I couldn't agree more, it looks great. But until Weber does...I'll continue hunting for a inexpensive pipe/tube bender in Craigslist, it would be perfect for this application.
