What makes the Weber Q grills good?

Ok here's the deal.

I have the Weber Charcoal grill, the Smokey Joe and the Smokey Mountain smoker. My dad had a large Weber gas grill years ago so I have used them mostly all my life.

Now I'm by myself again and was looking for a small gas grill where I can at the last minute throw on a burger or maybe a steak out on the porch without having to mess with the charcoal. I also might take it camping with me when there is just me. The other charcoal grills and smoker will always be for the parties and low and slow smoking.

Now with that in mind is the Q-120 worth $300. That's the grill, hose and 20 lb gas tank plus tax. Is it worth that or should I try to find a cheaper brand for what I want it for?

The baby Weber Q's will surprise you at how well they cook. They are perfect for small direct heat items like burgers and steaks. Thanks to the grate, it also does a very good job with fish and veggies. I know that some people do some pretty innovative things to use them for indirect also if you search the old threads on this board. Our friends from "Down Under" do a lot in this regard as the Q grills are extremely popular there. Don't know exactly where you are located, but as George indicated a number of them show up on CL around my area for really low prices.

I have 2 Q 100's on carts and love them for portability to parties, the beach, etc. Easy setup and takedown and folded the cart and grill don't take up much space in the car. They both cook fantastic for grilling. Highly recommended by me, but I second the CL search. I paid $100 for a grill and cart on the 2nd one I bought.
