What did I buy?? Help...

Long time lurker, first time poster. Long story short, I purchased what I think is an EP 330 in Natural Gas from a person on Craigslist. When I got home I discovered that it had a regulator attached to it

I called Weber with the SN. They told me that it was indeed an EP 330 in NG. They also said that it left the factory with a 10' hose with Quick Disconnect.

So here's the problem. I sent Weber the pictures below and asked them if they could tell me if the guts (bulkhead and manifold) were swapped on the grill. They were not able to.

I think it's obvious that the previous owner attempted to convert this grill. How do I know if he stopped at the regulator or if he swapped any other parts?

Help!

He would have had to change the orifices for it to work properly on LPG. Natural gas requires a larger orifice than propane so if he did change them you can drill the orifice out to the proper size for NG.
or
He didn't change the orifices and just overfired the grill on LPG.

Here is a sizing chart. http://championmfg.com/tech_sizingchart.htm

Don't forget to divide the rated input by the number of orifices to get the input per orifice.

I have an EP-330. Where your regulator hose is connected is where my natural gas hose is connected. As far as if the manifold has been messed with I can't say without taking mine apart and that isn't happening, it's it's 22* outside. I'd be very careful with this grill until I was sure what has been done to it.

"obviously a hillbilly conversion", couldn't have said it better.
