Weber spirit

I have a Weber spirit 3 burner (controls on top right) seems to not be reaching full temp. I get 500 degrees on a metal grate. But the lid thermometer only registers 275 with all 3 burners on high (confirmed with a non contact thermometer). On my older red head model can pin the lid thermometer at 550.

What would be the first part I should replace to try to restore the max temp?

Seems the thermometer is the culprit here. Though a good cleaning, perhaps resetting the regulator or replacing it. Check the burners for clogs. Pretty basic stuff, There isn't anything overly complicated there
 
I'll try the regulator reset. I double checked the temp the grill was showing with an non-contact thermometer. It matched the grill thermometer.
