Weber Skyline rejuvenation

Just picked up a working Weber Skyline 1200lp. Pictures will follow.

First step is regulator. Original regulator is a pressure fitting to the propane tank. Pressure fitting adapter is well worn which leads to my first purchase for rejuvenation.

How long do pressure regulators last? This one must be 10-12 years old.

My options are
1. Find another pressure fitting adapter - $10-15
2. Replace the pressure fitting with a screw on to regular propane tank. $12-20
3. Replace regulator hose. $30-40

I am leaning towards 2 or 3. It depends on what I can find out about how long regulator hoses should last.

I'll be removing the old regulator and connector and be replacing it with a 1/4 pipe to 3/8 compression. The 3/8 compression is what fits standard propane hose regulators.

Wow. This sure helps.

I'll be documenting as I go along.
