Weber Performer Mod Questions

Hello everyone new to the group.

I am looking at some options to modify my weber performer that I currently have.

I am looking at possibly 2 different options.

Option 1: Remove kettle entirely and create a custom table on wheels something similar to the following attached. I am limited space on storage and this version would help me tremendously. I would likely lose the propane ignition if i did something like this with the metal frame.

Option 2: Would like to replace the current side table for a wood finish and also do a modification with larger wheels and casters. Side table ideas attached.

Pros and Cons from anyone?

We have a BGE and some of the tables I have seen for it use ceramic tiles for a table top. I've always thought a wooden table with a routed top and inlaid tiles would look nice.

EDIT: The Naked Whiz (https://nakedwhiz.com/TableGallery/tables.htm) has some great ideas in their table gallery.

Are you short of storage space for the whole grill? Or are you short of stirage space for grull tools? Towels, pans, pots, charcoal, ...etc?
I like both ideas. Or a separate fold out table so storage is easier.
Bigger wheels with nice solid legs, great. Table space and a way to hold all your stuff, fantastic.

Welcome to the group. I like where you are going with this but it is honestly hard to answer your question without knowing more about the specific problem you are trying to address as well as your budget and your level of skill/tools.

I don't have a performer, but my first thought was to acquire a suitable ready-made cart with the frame and wheels and everything and simply trace a circle and install the grill into it.
