Weber 26.75 OTG with Gas Igniter Kit installed

I'm wondering has anyone ever tried to install the gas burner along with igniter kit on the 26.75 OTG?

I know the 22.5 performer has the option, but I would like to drill a hole in the side of a 26.75 and install the same components inside of it. This will give me the space and options that I want in my grill.

Thoughts?
 
It should be doable, if Weber will sell you the parts. Another option that some of us use is a handheld propane torch.
I use it on my OTG, just stick it in one of the holes on the ash ring, and bring the tip up thru one of the vents. Super fast and removable and cheap if you already have one laying around.
