I really love my 14.5 wsm. I am getting tired of finding a place to set the lid while adding meat or checking on progress of the cook. I am considering the hinge, but I'm not sure if it's really needed, if I really want to drill, or if it would cause any issues with the mid section or tipping. Does anyone have any experience with the hinge on this model, or another size wsm that would help me make a decision on this? Thanks in advance!
