Trying to combine two gassers into one...

I picked up two gassers to restore last week.
One had the shallow cook box and a side burner.
The other had a deep cook box and no side burner.

i prefer the deep book box and thought it would be easy to trade cook boxes.
Nope... I didn't notice that the cover part numbers are different

They fit the frame fine but the burner controls and ignition switch don't match up.
The one that gives me access to the burners also takes up room that the side burner needs.

I could fab something but do you guys have a better idea?

Someone told me the manifolds are different links.. maybe i can swap them out?

Thoughts?

The spacing is completely different between the deep box and shallow box design. Nothing is really interchangeable
