Trying On A Tuxedo

After acquiring a Summit 450 last fall and storing it in my garage all winter yesterday was the day to get it out and try it. Looking at all the black, lines and stainless reminds me of an elegant tuxedo. I put new burners and igniters in it last fall. We grilled a couple nice filet mignon and asparagus. She fired right up and quickly got to 500 degrees. First time grilling on such nice sturdy ss food grates. I forgot to take pictures in action or plated food but here she is...

It has a little of the “expanded” burner tube openings but not bad. Hoping Jon and Bruce come up with a template for the front panel.

Well once they "expand" they go FAST. Watch for flames coming out from under the control panel. It does not have to go far for that to happen. Mine went from what looked like little "rat bites" to shooting flames out in a season
