Tomorrow is

I didn't know about tomorrow until a little while ago, but, a few days ago, I started working on my "Chocolate Cookies" binder and I am only up to the S's.

Did you see the Cow Pie Cookie recipe I posted?

We did a family vacation to Hershey Pennsylvania when my children were young.

Hershey Park is a nice family friendly amusement park.

Milton Hershey lived a fascinating life.

Overall a great place to visit, in my opinion.

Carob is a brown powder made from the pulverized fruit of a Mediterranean evergreen.

Some consider carob an adequate substitute for chocolate because it has similar nutrients (calcium and phosphorus), and because it can, when combined with vegetable fat and sugar, be made to approximate the color and consistency of chocolate.

Of course, the same arguments can as persuasively be made in favor of dirt. :)

Glad to hear that. I was 8 when we moved down here from Penn. Sorry to say, never made it to Hershey.

Here is what I remember from so many years ago- possibly I got some details wrong but big picture:

One of the remarkable things about Milton Hershey is how many times he failed before he finally succeeded.

He failed many times and always tried again. His last attempt at success, his aunt mortgaged her house to lend him money. On the brink of another failure he landed a big contract to produce chocolate and that was the start of what we know today as Hershey chocolate.

He and his wife never had children, so he created a foundation for orphans - beautiful living quarters, schools, medical and sports facilities- a town for children without parents that is still in operation due to the money earned by Hershey.
