I like that the HM v4.3 board is just about the same length of the RasPi, but the largest waterproof case I can easily source won't fit with the v4.3 board married to the RasPi 3.
What I came up with is a small prototype board with a set of male and female headers that allows the v4.3 board to be offset and raised, living right above the RasPi.
Now I just need to run some jumper wires for +5, GND, TX, RX and SPI or maybe whip up a PCB to make it look really nice!
