I'm looking for a RTD type penetrating temperature sensor to use for my meat sensor for my home made controller. Does anyone know where I can find a low cost one?
When I purchase a box of 10 then work out to be about $34.00 CA.
You could use a thermocouple if your controller can take it and it'll run in the realms of $2-3 for a 10' length and it will give you repeatable/accurate results to +/- few degrees provided you install it correctly.
I don't see any with a paenetrating tip on their site? I found a nice blunt tip one from newark for only 16.95 that I can use for the pit, but need a penetrating tip one for the meat now.
