Hi, I have been a long time lurker but noty many posts to my credit. I have had consistency issues with the gauge thermometer. so i picked up one of these at lowes, and with a little lathe work this is what i came up with.

James my old eyes cannot tell what you have done and the pictures do not enlarge so can you explain it to me? Did you drill thru the Weber thermo?

I made a stainless steel insert that mimics the weber thermometer, that has a hole .010 larger than my temp probe with a set screw in it, it fits into the weber thermometer housing and bolts from the inside, i notice you have a rib o lator how do you like it?
 
James that's a great mod and a Brilliant idea. Yes I have a Ribolator and I really like it although I find I don't use it much. That's my own fault-I hate the way the Weber Roto Ring fits so I am waiting for C&C (the Cajun Bandit guys) to build a Roto Ring for the Cajun Bandit. Once they do I am sure I will be using the Ribolator often.
