Tank holder

Hi,
I recently got a 2001 Silver A an its a great acquisition.

This might be a dumb question but there is no ground clearance under my tank.
It sits on the ground, negating the gauge and rendering it immobile while the tank is attached

Am I missing something? Is the tank too big? Is the gauge spring seized?

You have a part between the scale and the tank that does not belong.
That silver S bracket is a manifold support.
One end connects to the manifold, the other connects to the frame.
Get rid of that, and your tank should hang on the scale properly,
by turning the tank 1/4 turn counter clockwise and hanging by the
circular opening on top of the tank.
