Switch BBQ from NG to Propane

Hi All,
I'm new to this forum and looking for some advice. I need to switch my Genesis 11 from NG to Propane. I am in Toronto Canada and looking for someone to do this properly. Some are offering a conversion kit...but I believe it needs a manifold change?. Any advice or recommendations for where to get it done here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

First off what is a Genesis 11? ever saw one. That aside Weber goes far out of it's way to make it as difficult as possible (if not impossible) to make fuel switch. In your case if you can find a full LP manifold assembly and the proper hose/regulator it will be an effective and safe way

You could call Dickson Barbeque Center they have 3 locations, in Toronto they might be able to help you or refer you to someone. https://dicksonbbq.com/ From what I have read conversion kits are not a safe option, and switching out the manifold is the only proper way to go.

Yes that is where I purchased the bbq. They basically say not to do it. I am prepared to switch the manifold but even learning this was not easily available in my searches but has thankfully come from this forum.

Hi @Marilyn Mandell You wrote Genesis 11. is it perhaps a Genesis II ?

A manifold is the way to go, but there might be more needed in addition.

Can you post a pic of the grill or post the exact model number from the white tag on the grill ?

This might help us give you a better answer.
